Description
This book grew out of a sermon preached at Galeed Chapel, Brighton, from the words of Isaiah 35:4, “Say unto them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not …” During the course of the sermon, it was mentioned that while this instruction may be considered as being primarily directed to the ministers of the Gospel, every one of the Lord’s people are called to minister to one another in this way, as Paul writes, “Wherefore comfort one another with these words.” We were reminded of the beautiful and vivid account of the spiritual friendship between two young men at Galeed in the past: Benjamin Hunt and Arthur Smeed. Their friendship is detailed in this little book, together with some memoirs of members of Benjamin Hunt’s family and the obituary Benjamin Hunt wrote of Edward Stenning, a faithful deacon at Galeed. May we seek, as they did, to minister to each other.
