Peer Group Connection (PGC) is a mentoring program that should be implemented across every high school in the Bronx and New York City. It allows a space for juniors and seniors in the high school to explore their identities, discover their unique leadership skills, and create a welcoming community for incoming ninth graders. In The Heart of the Matter, the peer leaders from Morris Academy For Collaborative Studies discuss the importance of PGC by referencing city and school-wide research, examine their personal growth as leaders, and reflect on the positive impact they have made on their school community.
