year before), and spawned from there a TV show, books, films, and of course comics
(Atlas #3-48; 1950-1955). The tales of a ditzy but well-meaning blonde and her
assortment of slightly offbeat friends, MY FRIEND IRMA was one of the most popular
entertainment franchises of its time. The concept itself has been ÒborrowedÓ many
times since Ð in fact, shortly after ceasing publication of MY FRIEND IRMA, Atlas
magically came up with the idea for MY GIRL PEARL. Amazing, isnÕt’ it? Mostly written
by Stan Lee and drawn by Dan DeCarlo, this is a classic series you don’t want to miss Ð
and since they surprisingly forgot tor renew the copyrights, you don’t need to!
This book was compiled with the best images currently available. That stated, these
comics are seventy years old. The best efforts have been made to make the pages as
enjoyable as possible but not every panel is perfect and some allowances for the age of
the books need to be considered when judging the overall contents.
