Description

My time as an engine fitter, in the RAF, during the cold war in the mid 1970s. The BAOR in West Germany was in the process of replacing the Phantoms with the Jaguars. 17 Squadron designate based at RAF BrŸggen was my posting. This is the story of a year in Norfolk at RAF Coltishall followed by two and a half years on 17 Squadron in West Germany. The fun, the football and friendships told through the eyes of a five foot five brummie enjoying life overseas in the RAF.
