Description

Amber is used to hiding. She’s spent the past eleven years carefully tucked away in her Ozarks mountaintop, worrying about nothing but how to care for her five younger siblings and when to milk the dairy cow. She’s never questioned this simple sort of lifestyle. She’s never had to.

But when tragedy strikes the mountaintop, Amber is forced to make some decisions that will change everything.

She must travel into the valley, into the society she’s always shunned, or risk losing all she’s ever known.

With her first step down the mountaintop, Amber embarks upon an emotional journey of uncovering secrets and answers to the questions which have haunted her her whole life. Only one thing is certain for Amber and her family; nothing will ever be the same again.
