The book ÔModeling an Anaerobic Fed-Batch Reactor for the Treatment of Produced WaterÕ explains among others the operation of an anaerobic reactor type for the treatment of a wastewater type (Produced Water). In the book, model equations are derived for two modes of operation of the reactor and the Fed-Batch mode found to be the most suitable. Values of kinetic rate parameters and biological kinetic constants for the anaerobic reactor type are found following standard procedures and algorithms. The significance of the values of these constants and rate parameters in relation to wastewater treatment are explained in the book.
