Description
The Calculus with Applications open textbook is designed for students enrolled in Calculus with Applications course at Lansing Community College. The three authors are professional mathematicians with extensive knowledge in calculus and rich math teaching experience.
The goal was to create a valuable teaching and learning tool with connections to the real world. In addition to mathematical facts from calculus topics, the textbook presents how new knowledge is applied in various domains such as business and economics, physics, life sciences, and social sciences.
This open educational resource (OER) is a combination of our original work and adapted content from the Applied Calculus open textbook, by Shana Calaway, Dale Hoffman, and David Lippman.
