This book provides the graduate student in the field of Educational Technology some models of applied research. Action research methodology is the approach that is taken in the Master of Education (M.Ed.) program in Instructional Technology at University of Maryland University College (UMUC). There are eight useful examples here that are worthy of reflection, discussion, and critique. These examples reflect how eight different educators have systematically examined learning problems that could be improved through the application of technology, and then used a research-driven approach for improving learner outcomes.
