The story of art through the ages is the story of humanityÕs continuing search for appropriate forms to express its experience of the world and the aspirations of the human spirit.The word ÔartÕ is derived from the Latin words ÔarsÕ and Ôart isÕ. It has also roots in Greek word ÔaroÕ. All these words mean Ôto joinÕ, Ôto composeÕ, Ôto be feltÕ, Ôto createÕ, Ôto fabricateÕ or Ôto meet some special purposeÕ. More precisely it is an essence of appreciation, it is a question of right feelings and right values. It is an awareness and appreciation of things of beauty. Beauty is truth and truth is beauty. Art is truth, all pervading truth and appreciation of truth.
