Now 85, he cannot resist any longer. He had the immense good fortune to marry his best friend Betty in 2000 and they returned to live in England. After 23 years in Australia, the Britain of 2002 was disturbing. Now, after 13 more years of observation, conversations, reading and thinking, he suggests a shock treatment for the people of Britain. His aims are to inspire them to look beyond the residue of the feudal system, and to encourage their government to lead them bravely through a world of problems, limited resources and changing climate.
