In the mid-1800s, Samuel Lansberry and his wife farmed in Clearfield County, Pennsylvania. Then the country was plunged into a civil war dividing country and families. The war, politics, and dissension turned their lives upside down. Samuel’s son Peter survived the Civil War years but the trajectory of his life was not as fortunate as his father’s. Included in this text are family genealogies of each man’s family, maps, and photographs.
