Description
Though it was under the Prize Comics banner, the first years of BLACK MAGIC MAGAZINE were undoubtedly a Simon & Kirby production. Jack Kirby and Joe Simon, each acknoledged masters in their own right, created one of the iconic partnership in the history of comics. First names not needed. These are their covers and stories from the first 28 issues of BLACK MAGIC MAGAZINE (including 28 consecutive covers), a vault of comic genius for the fan of horror comics, suspense comics, mystery comics, and amazing comics in general!
Issues #29-33 (V4#5-V5#3) were renewed in the early 1980s when someone at the Kirby and/or Simon estate had an ÒOh, crap!Ó moment and realized that work was falling into public domain. So, while these are not all the stories they did, they are the legal stories, however. Many of the pages are aged and weathered; we hope that you will appreciate their imperfect authenticity.
