Description
Carolyn Saulson is the 70 year old founder of Iconoclast Productions, a 25 year old African American community media arts non-profit out of San Francisco, which produced the San Francisco Black Independent Film Festival from 1997 to 2006, and African American Multimedia Conference from 1996 to 2006. In August 2009, right after putting on the City College of San Francisco Juneteenth Festival, Carolyn was diagnosed with multiple myeloma, a rare blood cancer affecting African Americans at a rate twice that of the general population.
