Description
It was a bold time to introduce a patriotic hero : the war years were over, and the comic superheroes had given way to the popularity of westerns, crime comics, and funny animals. But when your names are Jack Kirby and Joe Simon Ð well, you do what you want to do! These partners of comic genius created FIGHTING AMERICAN and his spunky sidekick SPEEDBOY, who battled together for seven exciting issues (1954-1955). The series might not be considered a success, but sales and quality are not always connected Ð this is vintage Simon & Kirby, two masters at their peak. Only three issues of the series are public domain Ð #1, #6 & #7 Ð so this is the largest collection we can bring to you. Sometimes in life you take what you can get, and we’ll take it!
BONUS: Two exciting stories from U.S. JONES! More patriotic superhero excitement!
