Description
The “Daedal Doodle Curriculum” combines sourcing the dictionary for unusual words to create alliterations that students then illustrate. As theyÕre looking for words to illustrate, theyÕre simultaneously learning vocabulary. This form of arts integration engages students while linking the arts with core curriculum. The novelty of reading the dictionary to source words for drawing can be an important process in bridging art and language, ostensibly ending the traditional, but rigid, separation of the arts from basic education and thereby creating a fluid and creative mind.
This book showcases the work of eight classes.
