This textbook is designed as a very brief introduction to the concepts of environmental science from ecosystems, to life processes, to chemical processes, to recycling, to the water cycle and treatment, to sustainability, to pest control, to issues and solutions, to pollution and environmental laws. Each of the 30 chapters are covered in readings of two to five pages long. Additionally, the book provides access to a very complete glossary of terms used in environmental science. Instructors and students using the text can download a complementary set of PowerPoint presentations which go with each chapter to illustrate concepts.
