A black and white version of the book of the same name. ‘Die erste Reise’ is a reader for students of first-year German. It follows the adventures of a young American woman on her first trip to Europe. Each of the nine chapters is followed by a review of the most important new vocabulary and a short essay on a cultural or historical topic touched on in the chapter. The book met with great success when piloted at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities.
