To many modern-day comic readers Fritzi Ritz is the responsible everyday aunt of Ernie Bushmiller’s Nancy; but long before Nancy became a national sensation readers tuned in daily and Sunday to the adventures of FRITZI RITZ. Fritzi was always beautiful, fun-loving, and caring, but not always the brightest star in the sky. In the comics she was pursued by Phil Fumble, whose own strip was ended when he began appearing with Fritzi. Phil in the comics always seemed to not quite make the grade, but give the guy points for determination! FRITZI RITZ is one of the earliest women of the comics and Gwandanaland / Midcentury Comics is proud to offer the largest modern collection of her stories!
This book contain Fritzi Ritz pages from TIP TOP COMICS #157 and TIP TOPPER COMICS #1-2, 4-8, 10-16, 19-24, 26-28, the available issues from this hard-to-find series. But don’t worry Ð we will find them all and include them in a later volume!
