The purpose of analytical work in boundaries of TRIZ is revealing the latent directions for solutions to various unsolvable problems.
There are several types of unsolvable problems, and there are multiple analytical procedures depending on the type of problem-at-hand. These problem type-specific analytical procedures are described in the second book.
