Gold Open Access 2024 details the state of serious gold open access as of January 1, 2024, covering 2019-2023 articles in journals listed in the Directory of Open Access Journals. This is the ninth such study. It fully covers 19,422 journals (of which 18,067 published articles in 2023) and has notes on 897 others that were excluded for various reasons.
