At age 6 my father started work in the coal mines setting dynamite, later worked with John L. Lewis forming the coal miners union. After a riot and killing moved to California in 1920. Started working for Union Oil. Takes the reader with many family anecdotes from early Pennsylvania and Orange County California 1920’s.
