From his humble childhood in rural Germany during WWII, Herman K. Bauer’s early life presented many challenges. With hard work and study he became a mechanical engineer. After emigrating to the U.S., he created a successful engineering consulting business and later a real estate development company. Herman attributes his good life and his good fortune to his late wife, Emmy, who supported him not only as his spouse, but also as his lifelong best friend.
