Description
HEROIC COMICS was a true Golden Age anthology, featuring superheroes, detectives, adventurers, soldiers, and goofy cartoons Ð it was one of the original Òsomething for everyoneÓ magazines. The series saw three different titles and changes of focus Ð from REG’LAR FELLOWS HEROIC COMICS (1940-1942) to simply HEROIC COMICS ( 1942-1946 Ð with a trend toward combat stories during the height of World War Two) and finally NEW HEROIC COMICS (1946-1955); in all 97 issues, second only to Famous Funnies in the Eastern Color line! In this first exciting volume, Issues #1-4, you find Bill Everett’s Hydroman, of course Reg’lar Fellows, Don Dixon and the Hidden Empire, The Purple Zombie, Bill & Davey, and so much more!
Like many early Golden Age comics, this volume shows its age. Some pages are weathered and browned; we hope you will enjoy their imperfect authenticity.
