Description
Nine young people became part of a tight friendship group at North Central College in Naperville, IL, between 1958 and 1962. A central figure in this friendship group was David Walker. Like many in the group, he participated in the college WriterÕs Club and worked on the college newspaper, the North Central College Chronicle. David edited the Chronicle for a year. Many in this group also ate together at one of the dorm dining rooms where family-style meals brought everyone closer. Trips to Chicago to hear blues or attend films ensued. In mid-January 2014, David died of leukemia. Now, in memory of his life, 8 of his friends have contributed their fond memories of David both at college and beyond. All 8 have also provided biographical information about themselves to describe what they have done since college graduation.
