Description
This book describes the Author’s boyhood in a small Derbyshire mining village from birth in 1931 to leaving school in 1947, much of it under wartime conditions. His father was a self-employed builder and he named the access road into his housing development, Gordon Road after his son, to the embarassment of the Author.
