John Clark Packer was born and raised in Madison MS, but now lives in Starkville MS. He was born with a genetic lung disease called Cystic Fibrosis and continues to fight it every day of his life. He now works part time at Batson ChildrenÕs Hospital, the same hospital he first became a patient at the day he was born. He helps fundraise and spread awareness about the hospital. Johnny is a diehard Mississippi State sports fan and is also a big fan of Hollywood and Matthew McConaughey and has acted in several shows and movies. He was on a TV show called Big Fan with Matthew McConaughey. He has also been in several movies directed by John Schneider who was his childhood hero as Bo Duke from the Dukes of Hazzard. They are now close personal friends. One of JohnnyÕs missions in life is to raise funds and awareness for those that fight Cystic Fibrosis so he has joined up with his lifelong friend Brandon Walley and formed Johnny Packer Coffee Company. The two friends also host a podcast about Mississippi State Sports called JohnnyÕs World which you can find on iTunes or Spotify.
Over a decade ago during Christmas, Johnny was surprised by his mom and grandmother with a special friend. A golden retriever, he named Bo Duke Packer. For the last 13 years Johnny and Bo have proven undying devotion to one another. In this edition, Johnny takes us on his 13 year journey of “Love and Loyalty.”
