Although Harvey Comics was in business for over 50 years, for most of that time they were known for publishing comic adaptations of licensed characters from TV, film, and newspapers. They had only a short period where their focus was on original comic characters. Sadly, very few of these characters stay with us very long, although they are among the most colorful and creative of the Golden Age.
