Although through much of its business life TERRYTOONS was considered the little brother of the cartoon world, with lower quality and much lower budgets, from the late ’20s through the ’70s they successfully produced cartoons for theaters and television, and created characters which kids and adults remember today, including some of the hilarious Òfunny animalsÓ in this collection: Deputy Dawg, Heckle and Jeckle, Dinky Duck, Silly Sidney and Hashimoto-San. Sure, by today’s standards the character promoted stereotypes and might be socially unacceptable Ð but that’s half the fun, right? Though primarily producing cartoons, TERRYTOONS had many successful comic series’, including, from 1960-1962, NEW TERRYTOONS COMICS, an 8-issue Dell title Ð WHICH WE ARE PROUD TO OFFER COMPLETE IN THIS BOOK!
