Origin and Identity: A Poetry Collection

This book is a collection of ÒWhere IÕm FromÓ poems written by the founding 8th graders of High Tech Middle Chula Vista. It is our first publication for the Staff/Holmes/Recendez Team. Although every poem is inspired by George Ella LyonÕs original ÒWhere IÕm FromÓ poem, you will find that each poem has a unique voice and a distinct set of experiences to reference. During this first project, we built a community of writers and peer editors as we went through multiple drafts of our ÒWhere IÕm FromÓ poems before publication. We are proud of our final collection of poetry. We hope you enjoy reading our work as much as we enjoyed creating it!
