Reed Crandall is best known for his adventure comics (Blackhawk) and superheroes (The Ray, Doll Man), and was a key artist in the EC Horror line Ð but his talents bridged genres and styles. In 1960 Crandall began a long-running relationship with the Catholic publication TREASURE CHEST, and for over 12 years he penned countless stories and covers. Gwandanaland / Midcentury Comics has gathered his earliest work for that comics, 1960-1963, onto one great collection.
