Description

Subscription Theory is the repurposing of Cognitive Dissonance Theory from Social Psychology to Sociology. As a new sociological perspective, we can use this paradigm to understand our society and its trajectory. Subscription Theory encapsulates both Evolutionary Psychology and Social Constructivist perspectives, though this union has been around since the early 2000’s (see Evolutionary Social Constructivism). In this book, Subscription Theory is applied to the dominant ideologies of contemporary Western societies (Social Justice, Equity and Equality, within an Australian and United States context) and is both descriptive and predictive. This theory was also published in the Australian Mensa journal TableAus, Edition 452 (Mar – Apr 2021), under the title “Social Justice/Civil War”.
