Description
A central theme that C-SAP has been exploring in recent years is how gender and sexualities are being taught in the social sciences. It has been keen to discover what challenges higher-education institutions face when they attempt to articulate the complex sets of issues around gender and sexualities and, importantly, what learning, teaching and assessment strategies and innovations academics have developed to help them in the process. This book arose from a day conference on ÔTeaching Gender in the Twenty-First CenturyÕ held in London in 2007, organised as a joint collaboration between C-SAP and the Sexual Divisions Study Group of the British Sociological Association.
