Description
Though the middle of the 20th Century, you could find a ÒGagÓ book, often featuring more than a few enticing ladies, on every newsstand Ð and under quite a few beds or hidden in the corners of closets! The parents were buying them left and right, and the kids were swiping them just as often. These great budget mags featured some of the funniest cartoons and some of the prettiest women, in all of America. In many ways, these magazines WERE America! Generally cheap to produce and rarely collected, these are hard to find today. Gwandanaland Comics is gathering together issues from the 30s to the 70s, and with this book begins a large treasury of a more ÒinnocentÓ time.
Well, sort of innocent.
The Gwandanaland Comics version of this book is available in premium B&W (paperback and hardcover). For those who prefer the sepia-based tones and color pages in their original form, we have Midcentury Comics #723 (standard color paperback and hardcover). No matter your choice, you can’t lose!
