Description
In an era when women rarely traveled independently, Theodosia documented her observations and experiences from the perspective of a young, small-town American woman traveling in an exotic and occasionally dangerous post-WWII world. We are introduced to the author through her childhood memories in a Depression-era northern Michigan town and from there we are led on a globe-trotting adventure through post-war Europe, Bolivia, Thailand, and Iran connected by fascinating descriptions of ocean liner travel and the early days of commercial flight.
