the king of anthology comics! One of their long-running titles was WINGS COMICS which flew
across the newsstands for 88 issues from 1940 to 1947. The stories in WINGS COMICS were
dedicated to sensational aviation adventures! The early issues brought us such great characters
as Clipper Kirk, Suicide Smith, Jane Martin, The Phantom Falcons and so much more! Top Fiction
House artists including George Tuska, Henry Kiefer, Leonard Frank, Gene Fawcette, Witmer
Williams, Alex Blum, Charles Sultan and Klaus Nordling provided some of the masterful images
making WINGS COMICS not only a member of Fiction House’s ÒBig SixÓ line but also a critical
part of comics history!
