Description
The Way She Saw Me is a book based on fiction work. I was inspired to write this book after dealing with some challenges my son faced in kindergarten. My son is what some would label as ADHD and is slightly taller than some children his age. When I met with his previous teacher, she said somethings that didnÕt sit well with me. I felt her choice of words were out of line. With this book I want to deliver a message to educators working with children with disabilities and made up of different sizes. We as educators must watch the way we speak to children and speak of children. Speaking negative things of a child, to a child, and/or over a child plants a negative seed into children. Examples are youÕll never be, or you canÕt be look at your grades. That one negative seed can start to grow or form unwanted behaviors or traumas. The adolescent stage is the most critical stage for children. We have to do better with instilling morals, values, visions, purpose and positive things into their lives and more.
